Raspberry Pi System Installation Steps

1.Prepare materials:

  • Raspberry Pi motherboard
  • SD card (make sure it has enough capacity)
  • Card reader
  • Computer
  • Raspberry Pi system image file
2.Use SD Card Formatter V5.0.1 to format the SD card:
  • Download and install the SD Card Formatter V5.0.1 software.
  • Insert the SD card into the card reader and connect it to the computer.
  • Open the SD Card Formatter V5.0.1 software.
  • Select the SD card to be formatted in the software.
  • Select FAT32 as the formatting option (this is the file system commonly used by the Raspberry Pi).
3. Click the Start Format button and wait for the formatting to complete.
  • Write the system image to the SD card using WIN32 DiskImager:
  • Download and prepare the system image file (.img format) for the Raspberry Pi.
  • Open the WIN32 DiskImager software.
  • Select the prepared system image file in the software.
  • Select the drive letter of the formatted SD card in the device list (make sure you select it correctly to avoid data loss).
  • Click the "Write" button to start writing the system image file to the SD card.
  • Wait for the writing process to complete, do not disconnect the SD card or close the software in the meantime.
4. Install the SD card and start the Raspberry Pi:
  • Remove the SD card with the system image written to it from the card reader.
  • Insert the SD card into the SD card slot on the Raspberry Pi motherboard.
  • Connect the Raspberry Pi's power supply, monitor, keyboard, and other peripherals.
  • Start the Raspberry Pi and wait for the system to finish loading.
5. Configure the Raspberry Pi:
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to log in to the system by entering your username and password (you may need to set up a password if this is your first boot).
  • Perform subsequent operations such as network configuration, software installation, etc. as needed.
